From Season 9 of Project Run & Play, we are happy to bring you Celina of Petit A Petit and Family’s Azur Reversible Swimsuit pattern seen in her Spring Break Challenge.

The Azur is a fully reversible swimsuit with a really unique design.  You have two different shoulder straps (halter neck or cross over) as well as an optional extra back strap.  Each layer can be made with a regular view or color blocked.  The pattern also includes optional bows.  It’s a very versatile pattern and you can make sure each swimsuit you sew is truly one of a kind.

Pattern Features:

The Azur is a fully reversible swimsuit with a really unique design.  You have two different shoulder straps (halter neck or cross over) as well as an optional extra back strap.  Each layer can be made with a regular view or color blocked.  The pattern also includes optional bows.  It’s a very versatile pattern and you can make sure each swimsuit you sew is truly one of a kind.

Fabric Recommendations:

4 way stretch, minimum 50% in both directions required.  Swimwear or gymnastic fabric such as Lycra (90% Nylon 10% Spandex)  IF you don’t want to make it reversible, you will need swimwear/gymnastic lining.

Notions:

For the halter neck version: 1x clasp or hook – 2/5 cm (1″) wide

Elastic 0.3 cm (1/8″) swimwear elastic will make your swimsuit last longer

Coordinating thread

The Azur Reversible Swimsuit pattern covers a range of sizes – from 6-12 months to 12 years.

The pattern includes the following features: – fully reversible (or can use swimsuit lining fabric for one layer) – regular or colour blocked swimsuit options – two different shoulder straps (halterneck or cross over) – optional extra back strap for use with cross over straps – pieces and instructions for 2 different sizes of bows.
