We are SUPER excited to share the Degas Dungarees pattern with you!! This darling pattern will become a new favorite and make you feel like a sewing rock star! This delightful pattern is the brainchild of Susana of Suco by Susana, designer especially for the Project Art Studio pattern collection.
Pattern Features:
The Degas Dungarees are a regular to slim fit design for woven fabrics, suitable for every season, with all the bells and whistles of ready-to-wear denim dungarees. They are designed for girls but fit beautifully on young boys too.
The design features:
– slightly tapered legs
– medium height body rise
– pants or shorts length, and skirt options
– lined bib with adjustable straps
– inset front pockets
– patch pockets in the back with 6 different topstitch designs
– topstitched waistband with belt loops
Fabric Recommendations:
Woven medium or heavyweight denim, with or without stretch, and also looks great in fine wale corduroy and cotton twill.
Notions:
– Lightweight cotton fabric for the lining
– 30cm (12“) of iron on interfacing
– 6 buttons (2 for bib, 4 for side plackets)
– 2 bib buckles (self-tensioning ideally)
– Sewing machine needle according to the type of fabric: Jeans or Topstitching needle, and universal needle (to sew the lining)
– Polyester sewing thread
– For topstitching: Topstitching thread or Strong thread or two identical spools of regular polyester thread
