Pattern Features:
The Metro pattern is an easy fit woven pants or shorts for girls, with a soft frill on top of the waistband and tapered legs. The pattern is suitable for every season as it works well sewn in lightweight and cool fabrics for hot weather, or in warmer drapey fabrics for the cold weather.
Fabric Recommendations:
Woven light-weight or medium-weight fabrics with drape, such as cotton lawn, linen, rayon, tencel twill, chambrai, seersucker, lightweight wool, lightweight denim, babycord.
Notions:
– Woven light-weight or medium-weight fabrics with drape, such as cotton lawn, linen, rayon, tencel twill, chambrai, seersucker, lightweight wool, lightweight denim, babycord.
– Small scrap of fusible interfacing for the buttonholes. – Elastic for the waistband: 2.5cm (1”) wide
– Sewing machine needle according to the type of fabric: universal for cotton or wool, microtex for rayon or viscose, jeans for denim, etc.
– Polyester sewing thread, pins and fabric scissors, tailor’s chalk or washaway pen.
– Rotary cutter and cutting mat (optional).
