From the Designer Capsule #5, we are excited to present the Parfait Polo pattern, a classic polo pattern with some really fun dress options!
Pattern Features:
Parfait Polo pattern is such a classic! This pattern includes a polo shirt and three dress options. The Polo Shirt is a slim fitting polo shirt. There is an option for puffed sleeves. Bands finish the sleeves and pull them in for a tailored look. A classic a-line dress sits at the waist and reaches to mid calf. A drop waist polo dress with two gathered tiers hits at the knee. A polo dress with a circle skirt shape below the dropped waist reaches to just above the knee.
Fabric Recommendations:
Traditional polo fabric is called pique, but is not as easy to find as other knit fabrics. Use any stable knit fabric with good stretch and recovery like cotton lycra, ponte, interlock, lightweight french terry, bamboo, modal, and more work great.
Sleeve Bands: knit fabric with at least 50% stretch
Notions:
2-3 1/2” (1.3 cm) buttons or snaps for the placket (3/8” for size 1) Lightweight knit interfacing for the under collar and placket
