Pattern Features:
The Ultramarine CoverUp pattern is for a loosetting, raglanstyle beach or pool coverup. A bit oversized, this casual coverup has a stylish v-neck in both the front and back with view A or a generous hood with view B. Both views are designed to be about a midthigh in length and have raglan shoulders that extend past the natural shoulder and can be sewn in a contrast color for a visual treat.
Designed for woven fabrics and knits such as cotton/lycra and french terry. Four options for waist cinching drawstring casing, elastic casing, elastic sewn directly to the fabric, and no cinching and sizing from nb to 16 years means there’s a perfect Ultramarine CoverUp to add to your girl’s warmweather wardrobe!
Fabric Recommendations:
cotton/lycra, french terry, microeece, cuddle (minky), quilting cotton, cotton lawn, double gauze, poplin Allow extra fabric for matching stripes, plaids, or other directional fabrics.
Notions:
3/8″ (1cm) elastic for cinching the waist (optional) see Elastic Cut Chart
two 12.5″ drawstrings for cinching the waist (optional) 1/2″ (1.25cm) wide strips of cotton lycra that have been pulled to curl can be used instead of drawstrings. For the right side of the fabric to end up on the right side of the curl, cut the strips WITH the grain OR for the wrong side of the fabric to end up on the right side of the curl cut the strips AGAINST the grain.
