This is the round that decided who goes through to the finals, and I’m sure the designers can’t wait to show off their Signature Styles! Rise to the Occasion was the theme of this week, and they all did an amazing job, but one designer’s look came out on top!
Don’t forget our Outer Space Ties and Sunshine Scrunchies & (Rain)Bows are on FLASH sale this week only! No code needed…they’re a steal! Grab them, or any others you want to use for sewing along with the season. An amazing prize from Brightside Fabric Co. is up for grabs! (You can use any patterns to sew along, they do not need to be from our shop).

Our winner of Week 3 is:
Laura – Magic at the Yule Ball

Here’s what Wayne Hwang, our celebrity guest judge, had to say about the look:
“You’re clearly the most talented witch of our generation! I love how it’s inspired by an iconic movie costume, but you’ve amplified its magic with an impressive bodice embroidery — it’s so intricate and completely symmetrical, with no room for error. I appreciate the striking choice of a lace-up back, which contrasts well with the floating movement of the chiffon skirt. The overall impact is exquisite — she clearly adores it.”
Congratulations, Laura!! Your design was amazing. Thank you Wayne for contributing as a guest judge this week. As a reminder, 1/3 of the score comes from a guest judge, 1/3 from your vote, and 1/3 from a panel of judges: Alexe St-Germain, Katie Grimm, and Lakeisha Webb, who participate all season. They are all past Project Run & Play contestants, and know exactly what it’s like to be in these designers’ shoes. We are thankful for their contributions!
Our least favorite part of the competition, is sending designers home. They are all incredibly talented, and we love seeing their visions! But to get to a winner, we have to say goodbye to one amazing woman this week. Based on scores from this week, the designer leaving is:
E Lan – A Roma Holiday

E Lan will be a part of our Project Run & Play family from now on, and hopefully you’ll see lots more from her! Be sure to follow along for the last week, and support your favorite design. We wouldn’t have as much fun without your participation.
