Sew just the letters and numbers for learning play or create cute keychains. They can be flat or puffy – you decide. Pattern Features:

The All-in-One Alphabet pattern includes four banner shapes (6″ x 8″) and three different sizes of capital letter and number templates (2 1/2″ to 4 1/2″ high) that can also be used for banners, keychains, or applique. The PDF instructions include project ideas and step-by-step photo instructions for the following:

  • applique
  • pennant banner
  • individual letters
  • keychain or letter banner

Fabric Recommendations:

  • pennants – medium weight woven fabrics such as quilting cotton, medium fusible weight interfacing
  • applique letters – any light to medium weight fabrics, fusible iron on adhesive
  • individual, keychain, or banner letters – medium weight woven fabrics such as quilting cotton, medium weight fusible interfacing
  • padding (based on desired results) – firm, sew-in, stiff interfacing; quilt batting; felt 

Notions:

  • letters – heat-erasable marking pen, pinking shears
  • keychain – key ring or 1/2″ swivel hook
  • pennant banner – extra wide double fold bias tape, length varies based on project
  • letter banner – rope, twine, or heavy yarn
  • loops for the keychain or letter banner can be made of fabric or 3/8″ cotton twill tape.
