Pattern Features:
The Child Hey Day Dungarees pattern combines comfort with a funky sense of style.
This is a relaxed fit dungaree/overall. It has tie straps which don’t need undoing in order to take the garment on and off! Choose between button holes or loops. In addition, there are FIVE pockets for hiding all your stuff. They are designed to be long and worn rolled at the ankle.
Fabric Recommendations:
Main Fabric: Medium weight woven fabric such corduroy, denim or linen. Softer fabrics will create a more flattering garment than stiff/structured ones
Notions:
Many options will not require interfacing. However, if you are using a thin/soft/open weave fabric then I recommend adding light interfacing to your straps, and a 7.5cm (3”) strip to the top of both the front and back bibs. If you would like a button hole closure then you will need a strip of light/medium interfacing 7.5cm (3”) x width of your front bib.
If you are doing the snap crotch you will need a maximum of 12cm x 155cm (3 ¾” x 61 ⅛”) medium interfacing – see page 10 for exact measurements. If you are doing the snap crotch option, you will also require snaps. The exact number will depend on the size you are making. As a guide you will need 7-9 sets for baby sizes and 11-17 sets for child sizes.
