We are delighted to bring you some fun toys from the Project Under the Sea pattern collection! This bundle includes a Sand Dollar, Seashell and Starfish.
Pattern Features:
The Ocean Friends Softies are perfect for play! This bundle has a starfish, seashell and sand dollar. Make each of these in 4 different sizes. Sandy Sand Dollar has cute cut outs on the front. Shelly Seashell can be made in pleated or quilted version. On Patricia Starfish you can make a cute face or embellish it any way you wish!
Fabric Recommendations & Notions:
Starfish: quilting cotton, flannel, fleece, minky, velour, or any medium to heavy weight fabric
If using iron-on vinyl details you may choose to use quilting cotton on the front and back with a softer fabric like fleece or minky.
Quilted Seashell:
Front- quilting cotton, flannel, fleece, minky, velour, or any medium to heavy weight fabric. If you choose to use a heavy fabric like fleece on the front, you may omit the batting.
Batting- the higher loft batting, the more defined the quilting lines will be.
Scrap layer will not be visible. Use quilting cotton or flannel.
Back- quilting cotton, flannel, fleece, minky, velour, or any medium to heavy weight fabric. You may choose to use quilting cotton on the front and back with a softer fabric like fleece or minky.
Pleated Seashell:
Quilting cotton, flannel, or any medium to heavy weight fabric. You can choose to use a soft fabric such as fleece or minky for the back.
For the pleated seashell thick fabrics like fleece may not work well for pintucks in smaller sizes.
Sand Dollar:
Front Outer Layer- Choose a fabric that can be easily cut like quilting cotton or a thin fleece. Consider possible fraying edges when making the cutouts.
Inner Layer & Back- Quilting cotton, flannel, or any medium to heavy weight fabric
Softies/Pillows- Polyfill to stuff them. Could also use flax seeds or rice to make a hot/cold pack.
Play Mat- Batting bigger than the shapes
