waistband: cotton lycra or similar knit with great stretch and recovery

Abby’s Spidermonkey Pants pattern is the one stop relaxed fit pattern to take your little one through everything from a hot summer day to a snowstorm.  The side stripe lends itself perfectly to color blocking and features deep, usable pockets with enough room to store their great finds or treasures. The various lengths let you create nearly every stylish look you could wish for – and as a bonus, the fit of the pants lends itself perfectly as playground pants and even school uniform pants!

The lining is ideal for the cooler months of the year. You can use anything from quilting cotton to wool and even knit fabrics to create the outer part of the pants and line them for extra warmth!
Features:
–  pockets or no pockets – these pants will be a hit! You can use a little band or binding on the pockets – or simply hem them and then orient them in whichever way you’d like.
