Vlinderaas is a bow blouse sewing pattern specifically created with a wee bit of wiggle room and special instructions for adventurous beginners or those who haven’t tackled a blouse before.  This bow blouse has two bow lengths (full bow and simple tie) and two sleeve lengths (3/4 and long) options.  This blouse was MADE for soft and drape-y rayons for a luxurious feel and look.

Pattern Features:

The Vlinderaas Blouse PDF Sewing pattern is a wonderful blouse for little and tween girls.  The hem is a classic curved hem allowing the blouse to stay tucked in.  The dainty cuffs, along with the front placket have instructions for both snaps and buttons.  The bow tie collar widens after the knot allowing the wearer to be the most comfortable they can be.

Fabric Recommendations:

Woven shirt weight fabric: Broadcloth, twill, poplin (formal), chambray, quilting cotton, rayons

Notions:

  • Lightweight fusible interfacing
  • 10-13 buttons or snaps
  • Coordinating thread
  • Pencil or washable pen to mark pattern pieces
  • Rolled hem sewing machine foot (optional)
  • 14″ of bias tape (can be made from shirt fabric)

NOTE: This is a downloadable PDF pattern, NOT A PAPER PATTERN. Your pattern can be opened with Adobe Reader and will print on standard letter-size paper (8.5″ x 11″). A projector file is not included.
