FABRIC RECOMMENDATIONS
Any woven fabric may be used. The finished product will vary based on the chosen substrate. Quilting cotton or linen works well, but may be interfaced as desired for more structure when hanging. For a thicker, plush stocking consider using fleece or velvet. A layer of batting or fusible fleece may be added for thickness as well. It may be necessary to trim the lining to avoid excessive bulk inside. Knit fabrics such as sweater knit may be used with interfacing.
For the heel and toe applique details use fusible adhesive such as Heat’n’Bond lite.
