Fjell Dress

The Fjell Dress is a picture-perfect peasant dress sewing pattern for young girls.  Imagine twirling around a meadow in the full skirt and gathered sleeves.  An updated take on a traditional peasant dress, The Fjell Dress features a fitted bodice yet, with an elasticized back bodice, it is easy to put on.  This dress has no zippers or buttons to worry about.  And, like most of her dresses, it has POCKETS!

This picture perfect peasant dress is easy to put on and take off, which is key in most little girls’ wardrobes.  The fitted bodice gently rounds into the gathered neckline and sleeves, while the back of the dress is loose and elasticized.  The knee length skirt has POCKETS which are very handy.

• Materials Needed:
  • Woven fabric (quilting weight cotton, lawn, linen, shirt weight fabric)
  • Woven lining (can be same as main print or something lightweight)
  • 1/4” (6mm) elastic
  • Coordinating thread
  • Sewing machine
  • Serger (optional)
