Fabric Recommendations:

Bodice: Any stable knit fabric with good stretch and recovery like cotton lycra, ponte, interlock, lightweight french terry, bamboo, modal, waffle knits and more work great.

Everyday Skirt Tiers: Any knit fabric; like cotton lycra, ponte, interlock, lightweight french terry, bamboo, modal, waffle knits, etc. Heavier fabrics, like bamboo or rayon, will pull the dress down, which may necessitate shortening the bodice. Woven fabrics may also be used for the skirt, light weight fabrics, such as cotton, lawn, chambray, linen and rayon are recommended.

Special Occasion Skirt Tiers: tulle, chiffon, lace, mesh net, etc.

Underskirt: light weight fabric, can be woven or knit. Examples are cotton, lawn, rayon, poly lining, interlock knit lining, etc.

Neck Band: Knit fabric with at least 70% stretch.

Bows: any fabric, woven or knit. Thinner fabrics, like cotton, jersey or chiffon are preferable to thicker fabrics, like duck or felt, though thicker fabrics would technically work.
